I haven’t exercised regularly in a while. Can I still join in?
All our group classes are designed to cater for complete beginners through to moderate fitness levels. We also provide group sessions at an advanced level, including specific event training such as Marathon and Triathlon events.
ABS Team welcomes all abilities and we work to your specific level and needs. Exercise is beneficial to everyone, but the specific exercise program that you begin will be designed for you and based on your current condition and capabilities.
I can only exercise at anti-social times
It can be hard work managing a busy lifestyle and exercising is often a low priority. At ABS Team, we let the exercise come to you, at a time convenient to you. We are available 7 days a week at any time of the day. Exercising DOES NOT have to take place in a gym. ABS Team will come to you and train you in your own home (or at a venue of your choice).
Do I need to “go on a diet” to improve my health and fitness?
We eat approximately 25-40 meals a week and we exercise on average for 60 minutes over the course of a week; that's 1 hour out of a possible 168. This statistic illustrates that we need to look more closely at our relationship with food and exercise. By commencing a training plan you can get fitter and stronger, however if you want to change your body shape you will need to look at your nutrition. Each person’s nutritional needs are unique to them.
Weight Loss, simply put...
* Consume more calories than burned off = Weight gain
* Consume fewer calories than burned off = Weight loss
This is where exercise is vital. By combining a weight loss scheme and exercise then there is absolutely no way that you will not reduce the amount of fat on your body. Exercising will also make it easier for you to burn calories as it increases your metabolism which in turn acts as a fast forward process when burning fat.
No crash diets. You need to feel good as well as look good.
A good example of a weight loss Programme would be a decrease carbohydrate increase protein diet. This combined with breaking your meals down to 5 small meals throughout the day rather than 3 big meals will help you to increase you metabolic rate and burn fat faster.
The reason for this is it will keep your body working to its full potential throughout a day and on a constant playing field rather than going up and down like a yo yo. When eating 3 meals a day you have times where one minute your up and then the next you’re down peaking from high to low, by spreading the meals across the day this will stop.

ABS Team will create a personal fitness programme to suit your budget. All of our sessions are very reasonably priced and provide excellent value for money. In addition, we offer a free consultation session for you to “try before you buy”.
